What is this DOTNET Stuff?
Microsoft's latest web technology is ASP.NET. You can program in
a number of different languages to produce the same output after the
application is compiled. Compiled applications perform much faster that
script(ASP, PERL, etc.). You will need a copy of Visual Studio to develop,
there are many versions including upcoming home use versions. A freeware
development tool called WebMatrix
is also available for download. If you are a hardcore guru - use notepad and
the SDK, go ahead, we dare ya!
How do I publish my site?
Develop, compile and debug on your workstation. Publish your
site by FTP Posting the ASPX, DLLs and CONFIG files for your application. Our
server has the latest DOTNET Framework installed and is ready to support your
application. SQL Server database access is also available. When the next
version of the Framework is released this fall we will support it at that time.
